Ballentine Named Pilgrim League Player of The Week

Springfield, Mass. - MIT senior Ryan Ballentine was selected as the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week after he powered the Engineers to a pair of wins last week.
The senior attackman tallied four goals and seven assists, including the helpers on both game-winning goals. Ballentine posted two goals and four assists in a 9-7 win over Wentworth last Tuesday. Two days later, he notched two goals and three assists in an 11-9 victory over Curry College.
As for action around the league, all eight member institutions have played at least one game thus far as Norwich kicked off its season with a tough 8-5 loss to Becker this weekend.
This upcoming Saturday, March 28, marks the start of conference play as several schools meet up in their league-openers. Lasell will travel to MIT, while Springfield will head to Wheaton for a rematch of last season's Pilgrim Lacrosse League Championship game. Norwich will head south for a game against Clark and Babson will visit Mass. Maritime.
