Deegan Appointed As Massachusetts Maritime's Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
Buzzards Bay, Mass. -- Rory Deegan, who has served for the past two seasons as Assistant Mens Lacrosse Coach at Massachusetts Maritime, has been named as the Academys Head Mens Lacrosse Coach. Deegans appointment, effective immediately, was made by Bob Corradi, Massachusetts Maritimes Director of Athletics.

Beebe, Macchi, Sessa, and Smith To Represent Springfield at 2010 NEILA All-Star Game
Fairfield, Conn. - June 3, 2010 - The Springfield College men's lacrosse team had three seniors selected to play in the 2010 Turfer/New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Associates (NEILA) East-West Senior All-Star Game. Seniors Mike Smith, Pete Sessa, and Joe Macchi will all suit up one last time together, while assistant coach Jake Beebe will serve as one of the coaches for the West squad.

May 27, 2010 - Six student athletes from the Pilgrim Lacrosse League were recently honored for their outstandings seasons as the ECAC named its 2010 Division III New England Men's Lacrosse All-Stars, Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, and Rookie of the Year.

Springfield's Macchi and Smith Chosen To Play In 2010 Lax World/USILA North/South Game
Springfield, Mass. - Springfield College' s Joe Macchi and Mike Smith were recognized for their stellar senior campaigns as they were selected to play in the 2010 Lax World/USILA North/South game. The games will be held on Friday, May 28 at Goucher College in Towson, Md., with the Division III game beginning at 3 pm. at Beldon Field, and the Division I/II contest starting at 5:30 pm

No. 2 Salisbury Races Past Springfield, 17-4, In NCAA Tournament Second Round
Salisbury, Md. - The Springfield College men's lacrosse team's season came to a close on Saturday evening as it fell to No. 2 Salisbury University, 17-4, in the second round of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament. Kyle Gable scored a pair of goals in his final game in Maroon and White.

Springfield Shuts Down Widener, 7-1, To Advance In NCAA Tournament
Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield College men's lacrosse team shut down visiting Widener University, 7-1, in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament on Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore goalie Marc Martinez had his best collegiate game as he registered a career-high 18 saves in the win.

2010 Pilgrim League All-Academic Selections Announced
Springfield, Mass. -41 men's lacrosse players were named to the 2010 Pilgrim Lacrosse League All-Academic Team, the conference office announced. MIT led the way with nine student athletes, while Wheaton landed eight on the All-Academic squad.

Springfield, Mass. - May 8, 2010 - Joe Heney tallied five goals and tacked on an assist to power the Springfield College men's lacrosse team to its' third-straight Pilgrim Lacrosse League title after it downed visiting Wheaton College, 12-7, on Saturday afternoon. With the win, Springfield clinches an automatic berth into the upcoming NCAA Championship and will find out its' opponent on Sunday evening.

2010 Pilgrim League Tournament Set To Begin on Wednesday
Springfield, Mass. - Starting on Wednesday afternoon, the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Tournament will commence with Springfield, Wheaton, Babson, and MIT all vying for the automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
