Maher Earns Second Pilgrim Weekly Honor
Springfield, Mass. - Rob Maher of the Springfield College lacrosse team was named the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday for another pair of standout performances.
The sophomore netminder totaled 27 saves with a 5.50 goals against average and a .711 save percentage.
He opened the week with 16 saves in limiting 16th-ranked Western New England to just five goals.
On Saturday, Maher made 11 stops and allowed just five goals to Babson as he held them off the scoreboard for the final 29:46.
