Russo's Standout Performance Leads To Pilgrim Weekly Honors

Springfield, Mass. - First-year Phil Russo's standout performance in Babson's conference-opener win on Saturday earned him Pilgrim Lacrosse League Weekly honors.

Russo turned in a tremendous performance in Babson's lone game of the week. The first-year midfielder amassed a game-high 15 groundballs while winning 22 of 25 faceoffs in the Beavers' 21-1 victory over Massachusetts Maritime on Saturday. Russo also contributed three goals - all of which came directly off his own faceoff wins - and one caused turnover in the winning effort.
