Doherty Tabbed Pilgrim Player of the Week

Springfield, Mass. - After guiding Wheaton to a 1-1 week, including an exciting double overtime win over league-foe MIT, Wheaton College's Sean Doherty earned Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week honors.

Entering Saturday's game at MIT with just two goals and seven assists, Doherty turned in a career game during Wheaton's 11-10 double-overtime victory. He scored a career-high three goals with a career-best three helpers, including assisting the winner with 1:47 left in the second extra session. In an 11-5 loss at Connecticut College on Tuesday, Doherty finished with one assist.
