Johnson Selected as Pilgrim Player of the Week

Springfield, Mass. - March 14, 2011 - Junior Chris Johnson has been selected as the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week after leading the Clark University Cougars to a 1-1 week during their Spring Break trip in Maryland.

Johnson registered three goals and two assists in a pair of contests for the Cougars. In a dramatic 7-6 win over Hood College, Johnson scored all three of his goals in the second half – including the game winner with just 42 seconds left to give the Cougars their first win of the season. He also had an assist in the win over Hood. In Clark’s 13-6 loss to McDaniel, he had an assist to extend his point streak to 27 games dating back to his freshman season in 2009.
