Johnson Named Pilgrim League Player of the Week
Springfield, Mass. - April 4, 2011 - Springfield College's Jarrid Johnson was named the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week as he played an instrumental role in Springfield's two wins last week.
Johnson led Springfield to a pair of victories this week as the Pride has now won its last three contests. The Orlando, Fla. native registered six goals, including a game-winner and added an assist out of the midfield. In Springfield’s exciting 12-11 victory over Bowdoin in Exeter, N.H, the junior had three goals and one assist, including the game-winner with 36 seconds left. On Saturday, in the 18-6 win over Babson at Stagg Field, Johnson netted three goals, including a man-up strike.
