Cederberg Chosen as the Pilgrim Player of the Week
Springfield, Mass. - Wheaton College's Ben Cederberg has earned the Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week honor after helping the Lyons secure the second-seed in the upcoming Pilgrim Tournament.
Cederberg recorded five goals and three assists last week, playing a major part in the Lyons winning twice and clinching the second seed in the Pilgrim League Tournament. He had a hat trick and a helper during a 9-7 win at MIT on Wednesday, and in Wheaton's 12-11 win at Babson on Sunday, the sophomore had two goals and two assists.
The Pilgrim League Tournament will commence on Wednesday and defending champion Springfield will be the top seed in the tournament and will host fourth-seeded Babson on Wednesday under the lights at 7:00 pm.
Wheaton Lyons will square off against third-seeded MIT on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
The winners will then play on Saturday, May 2nd for the right to play in the NCAA Tournament.
