Grove Tabbed Pilgrim Player of the Week
Springfield, Mass. - After leading the MIT Engineers to a pair of road victories with his strong play between the pipes, Garth Grove has been tabbed as this week's Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Week.
He yielded eight goals while totaling 20 saves, a .714 save percentage, and a 4.00 goals against average. Grove posted seven saves while facing 21 shots in an 11-5 win at Norwich. He then stopped 13 of the 25 shots he faced in an 11-3 victory at Clark.
Heading into the final week of the regular season, Springfield stands in first with a perfect 5-0 record, while MIT and Wheaton are tied for second with 4-1 marks in conference action. Babson stands alone in fourth with a 3-2 record and awaits an important contest with Lasell (2-3) on Wednesday.
